I was commissioned by Charleston Magazine to photograph a lifestyle-driven editorial story featuring professional surfers along the South Carolina coast.

The assignment focused on capturing both the athletes and the environment, blending environmental portraits, in-water action, and coastal landscapes to create a cohesive visual narrative around surfing culture in the region.

Working on location, I documented the surfers in a range of conditions, from quiet moments on shore to active sessions in the water, emphasizing authenticity and a strong sense of place. The resulting imagery balances movement and atmosphere, showcasing both the energy of the sport and the lifestyle surrounding it.

The final images were used to support the editorial feature, highlighting the local surf community while presenting the coastline as an accessible and experience-driven destination.
